Why choose Pied Piper?

What will they be doing at Pied Piper?

When they arrive

Children can arrive from 9:30am (8:30am for those who have the AM Extended Day option which can be booked by the day either with or without PM Extended Day to suit a variety of working hours).

You will be asked to sign your child/children in with their Group Leader at their registration room. After they have stored their bags, they will be taken to the play area to join the other children.

Starting the day

At 09:45 all the children are assembled and to get the day off to a good fun start a couple of Group Leaders run a game for the whole camp – a big favourite is “Capture the Flag”.

The children then assemble in their groups to participate in the pre-planned activity sessions as requested by the children the previous day. Each session lasts 45 minutes to ensure that children enjoy a wide range of activities and that there is sufficient variety in the day for all weathers; rain or sun.

There are morning and afternoon breaks where the whole camp comes together for a 15 minute break and a well-deserved healthy snack and drink.

Children bring their own balanced packed lunch, which ensures they get the right fuel to keep them going all day! This is eaten in a large group under careful supervision.

Themed days and free choice sessions

Favourite activities can be repeated in the “Free Choice” session.

Each week there is a theme, for example: at The PP Circus, Wild Wild West, Knights & Princesses, Out of this World, Beach Party with games and activities based around the theme of the week including “Dress Up” day.

At every Pied Piper site, we have a separate programme for every age with activities tailored to that age group so that the youngest child on camp can have just as much fun as the oldest.

Mini Olympics finale on a Friday

Each camp finishes on Friday with the finale of the Mini Olympics and an optional Camp Concert, where the camp shares their week’s highlights video and whole camp song. Parents and siblings are always welcome to attend. The time of the Show will be displayed on the Camp noticeboard, but is usually 4:00pm.

All Pied Piper camps operate in line with OFSTED criteria whilst consistently delivering the ‘Pied Piper difference’ which makes us the school holiday childcare provider of choice for both children and parents.

Example Programme

At every Pied Piper site we have a separate programme for every age with activities tailored to that age group so that the youngest child on camp can have just as much fun as the oldest.

Each Group Leader curates the day’s time table to suit the personalities in the group, but you can download an example timetable for the week below.
