NEW Sports Coaching

Quick links to activity overviews: Netball | Cricket| Hockey | Football

Pied Piper is delighted to extend it's Summer fun offering into sports coaching – but with the Pied Piper difference!

The same care and passion of our summer multi-activity camps is blended with high quality sports coaching. The structured and varied coaching sessions will have an emphasis on progression and development of both individual and teamwork skills.

As not even top athletes train ALL day in their specific sport, a Pied Piper Sports Coaching week will offer intensive sports specific coaching in the morning, and then in the afternoon there will be a choice of two activities such as swimming, archery, cycling, skipping, tennis, orienteering, film making, skipping games, field games, roller blading. These activities complement the sports specific by developing core sports skills such as agility, balance and control and thinking/decision-making skills.

All coaches/instructors are fully qualified, insured and CRB/DBS checked so you can be confident your child is in safe hands. Furthermore they are positive role models who are totally dedicated to running engaging, structured sessions with an emphasis on progression and development of each child.

All the session plans have been developed to provide fun and variety as well as the opportunity to progress skills and techniques. Emphasis will also be placed on fair play, teamwork and good sportsmanship.

How it works

When making a booking the specific sports coaching option for the morning sessions will need to be selected*:

Netball or Cricket or Hockey or Football

Both girls and boys are encouraged to participate in all the sports offered. The target number of participants for each sport is 28 with 1 Lead Coach and 2 Assistant Coaches.

As the course is progressive only weekly bookings will be taken.

* If there is scope changes can be made on Tuesday AM

Each child will create their own personal challenges journal.

There will be at least three activities ns to choose from for each of the two afternoon sessions. These will vary during the week and will be predominantly fun based activities that will also help agility, balance, co-ordination and teamwork skills. They will be displayed in the morning at registration and chosen at lunch-time.
